Oddly enough, the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer seems a bit ugly compared to its predecessor. The original Boundless CFC Vaporizer offered a slim and sleek profile that looks both aggressive and sophisticated and could compete with the likes of the Firefly Vaporizer in terms of looks and aesthetic design. Surprisingly, we felt that the all-new Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer lacked a little in that department – but that’s just us.
However, whatever we felt it lacked in aesthetics, it sure made up for with its new and improved features that are geared and are focused on customer experience.
The Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer features a ceramic bowl that can, sure enough, fit a generous amount of ground material. Because the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer in itself was redesigned from head to foot, folks from Boundless Technology were able to outfit a new airflow vent allowing consumers to enjoy less restricted draws on-the-go. Needless to say, it’s a feature we’re excited to try. Another feature that caught our attention is the inclusion of a water pipe adapter. It’s not uncommon to use portable dry herb vapes like the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer in conjunction with a water pipe but to see an actual attachment made by the manufacturer means that they acknowledge that the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer is a device that can function and perform well with water attachments. Other manufacturers sell WPAs or water pipe adapters separately, but you can get is straight out of the box with the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer.
Alright, you know we’re just barely scratching the surface. Read on below for the full, comprehensive review.
Like other devices from Boundless Technology, the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer comes in a box that tells you what’s inside isn’t cheap. The box itself feels solid and comes in a two-part case that opens up by pulling the first layer of covering upwards away from the actual container.
The actual box of the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer is lined with teal trimmings. You just have to lift the cover to access what’s inside. Upon opening the box, you’ll be greeted with the user manual and the warranty card sitting on top of the actual product.
After peeling through the paperwork, you’d find the actual Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer with the accessory suite inside a box beside the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer.

One of the strongest suits of the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer is its water pipe adapter. While many other vaporizers require you to purchase accessories like the water pipe adapter separately, you’d get it for free with the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer.
This is good if you plan to use your vaporizer with any of your existing water rigs or water attachments.
The addition of the ceramic heating chamber also makes the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer a better choice in terms of value since many other vaporizers in this price point will often have a metal oven instead of a ceramic bowl. The precision temperature setting is also something you’d often find on more expensive devices.
Our only gripe is the placement of the airflow holes. We’re not sure if there’s a certain way to hold it but our fingers often get in the way of the airflow holes rendering its design somewhat useless.
The Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer is small and compact. At only over five inches tall, this portable dry herb vaporizer is smaller than many devices at the same price point.
Its size and dimensions allow you to bring them with you almost anywhere you are. Plus, the weight of the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer reminds you that this device means business. The overall circumference of the unit also makes it feel more comfortable to hold. However, the icing on the cake is the rubberized matte exterior as well as the ribbed and textured body all the more makes carrying the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer a joy.
We used the Boundless CFC 2.0 Vaporizer whilst on-the-go. Reloading proved to be quite easy thanks to the mouthpiece that easily snaps on and off the device. You can easily access the chamber and load pre-ground herbs. It heats up relatively fast and gave us good results.
In terms of durability, the Boundless CFC 2.0 boasts impeccable performance. As we’ve mentioned earlier, the weight of the actual device gives you the feeling that you’re holding something substantial. Something not too heavy, something not too light and flimsy. While the weight of the device is mainly due to the device’s integrated 18650 battery and the ceramic oven, the Boundless CFC 2.0 offers a durable housing with a matte finish and textured grooves. All-in-all, the overall build of the device allows for the Boundless CFC 2.0 to easily be carried around with you without even worrying about it breaking or falling apart whilst in your pocket or in your bag.
Our only gripe is that the mouthpiece itself might feel insubstantial and shaky. When removing and replacing the mouthpiece when reloading the chamber with herbs, it pays to be careful when operating the mouthpiece.
Pro Tip: Do not remove and replace the mouthpiece after a session. Let the device and the mouthpiece cool down before you remove it from the unit. Touching the mouthpiece is not recommended for obvious reasons. Moreover, the mouthpiece might be more fragile while it’s still hot.
The Boundless CFC 2.0 makes for a pretty versatile device for two reasons our team all agreed on.
One, it had precision temperature control. The battery itself allowed for a wide range of profiles our testers can play with. It’s heads and shoulders better than other compact dry herb vaporizers that only offer preset temperature settings. Say all you want but we love our vaping our herbs at (400-430°F / 204-221°C).
With the Boundless CFC 2.0, you can vaporize your botanicals from 140-446°F-60-230°C.
The next thing that makes the Boundless CFC 2.0 such a versatile device is its inclusive water adapter.
It goes without saying that ceramic-based ovens or ceramic-based atomizers make for the ideal heating element regardless if you’re consuming concentrates or herbs. That’s because they facilitate low and slow heating of your materials that allow you to enjoy their vapors better.
The ceramic heating chamber found in the Boundless CFC 2.0 allows your herbs to be heated and vaporized without reaching the point of combustion. The vapors are pure and are clean making the Boundless CFC 2.0 perfect even for those who consume herbs for medicinal purposes.
Price to Performance Rating
For only $89.99, the Boundless CFC 2.0 can’t be beaten.
We’ve seen and tried many other portable dry herb vaporizers on the market that are even twice as expensive as the Boundless CFC 2.0 and still, this compact dry herb vaporizer performed even better.
There’s not much to say about the Boundless CFC 2.0 in terms of how much it’s priced because the quality of the unit coupled with the quality of the vapor it produces is worthy of a price tag higher than $89.99. But we’re glad it’s got the affordable label and we hope it stays the same.
The Boundless CFC 2.0 is a portable dry herb vaporizer we can see ourselves using for a long time. We would totally recommend it for both beginners and advanced users not only because of its price but because of how well it performs and how easy it is to use.
There are a lot of vaporizers on the market that offer the same features as the Boundless CFC 2.0 but comes at a higher price. The Boundless CFC 2.0 is a device that has the performance and the pedigree to match.
So, if you’re on the market for a portable dry herb vaporizer, make sure to check out the Boundless CFC 2.0.
